Get answers to common questions about Chin & Neck Sugaring.
Appointments usually take 15–30 minutes depending on hair amount and skin sensitivity. Consultation and prep add a few extra minutes. Expect a focused, efficient treatment with time allowed for soothing aftercare and brief post-treatment instructions.
Sugaring is generally gentler than waxing and causes less irritation for many clients. Our estheticians use skin-safe paste and techniques, plus a patch test if you're sensitive. Temporary redness is common and usually subsides within hours to a day.
Clean, dry skin works best. Arrive without heavy creams, makeup, or oils; hair should be about 1/8–1/4 inch for optimal adhesion. Avoid retinoids, chemical peels, sunburn, or blood-thinning medications before your visit — consult us if unsure.
Results usually last three to six weeks depending on individual growth cycles and hair type. With regular sugaring appointments, regrowth often becomes finer and sparser, extending time between visits and improving long-term smoothness.
Most hair and skin types respond well to sugaring, including sensitive skin. We screen for active acne, open wounds, certain medications, and medical conditions that may contraindicate treatment. A consultation or patch test helps ensure safety for your situation.
Avoid sun exposure, hot tubs, saunas, intense workouts, and heavy creams for 24–48 hours. Gently cleanse and avoid exfoliation immediately; begin gentle exfoliation after 48–72 hours to prevent ingrowns. Use soothing products and avoid retinoids for two days.
