Get answers to common questions about Brazilian Waxing.
Most clients enjoy smoothness for three to six weeks. Results vary with hair growth cycles, hormones, and prior shaving. With regular waxing, hair often becomes finer and regrowth slows, so appointments typically range every three to six weeks.
Some discomfort is normal, especially on first treatments, but pain is brief. We use warm wax, gentle techniques, and topical numbing on request. Exfoliation, avoiding caffeine, and breathing techniques help. Regular appointments usually make sessions less uncomfortable.
Arrive with at least 1/4 inch of hair growth; avoid shaving for two to three weeks. Exfoliate lightly two days prior, avoid heavy sun exposure, and skip retinoids or chemical peels before treatment. Share any sensitivities or medications during check-in.
Yes, many clients choose waxing during pregnancy and postpartum, but sensitivities can increase. We recommend waiting past the first trimester if possible and informing your esthetician. We'll adjust positioning, pressure, and products to ensure comfort and safety.
Avoid hot baths, saunas, intense workouts, and tight clothing for 24–48 hours. Use gentle, fragrance-free cleansers and breathable fabrics. Apply soothing aloe or recommended products, exfoliate after 72 hours, and avoid sun exposure or tanning for a few days.
Minor redness, sensitivity, bumps, and occasional ingrown hairs are possible. We minimize risks through sterile technique and proper waxing. For ingrowns we recommend gentle exfoliation, topical antiseptics, warm compresses, and professional extraction when necessary. Severe reactions are rare.
