Results usually last four to six weeks depending on your hair growth cycle, hormones, and lifestyle. Some clients see longer gaps between appointments with regular waxing. We recommend scheduling based on visible regrowth or every four to six weeks for maintenance.
There is some discomfort as hair is removed, but most clients tolerate it well. We use soothing pre-wax techniques, quality wax, and professional skill to minimize pain. Avoid caffeine, stay hydrated, and request topical numbing if needed.
Trim longer hair to about a quarter-inch, arrive with clean, dry skin, and avoid lotions or oils. Lightly exfoliate 48 hours before to reduce ingrown hairs. Inform your esthetician of medications or skin sensitivities prior to waxing.
Avoid hot baths, saunas, sun exposure, and vigorous exercise for 24–48 hours. Use gentle, fragrance-free moisturizers and light exfoliation after 48–72 hours to prevent ingrown hairs. Contact us if redness or irritation persists beyond a couple of days.
Ingrown hairs can occur, especially with curly or short regrowth. We recommend gentle exfoliation, hydrators, and professional extractions when necessary. Esthetica offers targeted treatments and guidance to minimize and treat ingrown hairs between appointments.
Most adults are excellent candidates unless you have active sunburn, open wounds, recent chemical peels, or certain medications. Consult our estheticians about medical conditions or topical treatments to ensure safe, effective waxing at Esthetica Day Spa.
